Privacy statement

We collect as little as possible. We never ask for your citizen service number (BSN), health information, or the reason you're looking for a GP.

Searching by postcode

We don't save your search or keep track of who searches for what. Our server asks PDOK, a Dutch government service, where your postcode is. PDOK only sees the postcode, not who you are.

The map

The map images come directly from PDOK. Your browser contacts PDOK to get them, so PDOK sees your internet (IP) address and which part of the map you're viewing.

Reports about practices

If you tell us what a practice said, we only keep the practice, your answers and the date. We don't ask for your name or email address. Once reviewed, we delete these reports 12 months after they were sent.

Visitor numbers

We only keep daily totals: how often the home and help pages were opened, how many searches were made, how often the call or website buttons were tapped, and how many reports were sent. This shows us whether the site is helping people.

These totals can't be traced back to you. We don't store a postcode, IP address or visitor number for them, and we don't follow you around the site or anywhere else. We don't share the totals with anyone and keep them for no longer than 24 months.

Who helps us with this?

We don't sell your details or use them for advertising.

Cookies

This website doesn't place cookies for visitors, or use similar techniques to track you.

Your rights

You can ask what details we have about you, and have them corrected or deleted. To do this, email huisartsvinder@gmail.com. If you're not happy with how we handle this, you can complain to the Dutch data protection authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.

Is something wrong about a practice?

If you work at a practice and the information isn't right, email us at huisartsvinder@gmail.com and we'll correct it.
